Healing Balm aids in repairing a variety of ailments. Whether you have dry problematic skin, open wounds, cuts, burns, bites, and stings. It is used to calm inflammatory rashes and skin irritations, cold sores and other bacterial or viral infections. It also soothes symptoms of certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema (dermatitis).

Composition:

Contains beeswax, propolis, organic honey, vitamin E oil, butter, coconut oil.

Does not contain lanolin, petroleum, aqueous cream, chemicals, colourant, perfumes.

Application:

Apply a small amount between fingers and apply directly onto affected areas.

Suitable for all ages.

Store in a cool, dry place and out of the sun to prevent melting .

Uses of Baobab Healing Balm:

Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis) 

Applying Brazilian green propolis to the skin decreases itching, peeling, and redness in students with athlete’s foot.

Burns 

Applying propolis to the skin every 3 days might help treat minor burns and prevent infections.

Cold sores (herpes labialis)

Most research shows that applying an ointment or cream containing 0.5% to 3% propolis five times daily helps cold sores to heal faster and reduces pain.

It not only reduces the amount of herpes virus present in a person’s body, but also protects the body against future cold sore breakouts.

Foot sores (in people with diabetes) 

Applying a propolis ointment to sores on the feet of people with diabetes might help the sores to heal faster.

Genital herpes

Applying a 3% propolis ointment four times daily for 10 days might improve healing of lesions in people with genital herpes. Some research suggests that it might heal lesions faster and more completely than the conventional treatment 5% acyclovir ointment.

Swelling (inflammation) of the vagina (vaginitis). 

Applying a 5% propolis solution vaginally for 7 days can reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in people with vaginal swelling.

Warts 

Taking propolis by mouth daily for up to 3 months cures warts in some people with plane and common warts. However, propolis does not seem to treat plantar warts.

Wounds

Propolis has a special compound called pinocembrin, a flavonoid that acts as an antifungal. These anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties make propolis helpful in wound healing. It has been found that propolis can help people who have had traumatic burns heal faster by speeding up new healthy cell growth.

A topical propolis alcoholic extract is more effective than a steroid cream in reducing mast cells in oral surgery wounds. Mast cells are associated with inflammation and slowed wound healing.

Using a propolis mouth rinse five times daily for 1 week might improve healing and reduce pain and swelling after mouth surgery. However, if people are already using a special dressing after dental surgery, using a propolis solution in the mouth does not seem to offer additional benefit.
